Who am I?
Hi I'm Joni....Northern-Irish born and currently residing in London. As well as making art, which takes up a large, happy chunk of my time, I play drums in a 7-piece gypsy/folk/punk band called The Great Malarkey.

My work is about sex, death and love, about desire and obsession in all its forms. I use human and animal figures to illustrate the connection or disjunction between my reality and fantasy and I believe that in darkness and light there is an incestuous connection. I believe in beauty, faces as a window of expression and I draw with both dream and nightmare, splattered with the rawness and imperfection of what I see.
My work is minimal, but only my part remains unfinished.
